RatDog allowed Bobby to take the music in his own direction and allowed him to explore and develop his own style. RatDog published its first studio cd "Evening Moods" in the fall of 2000, comprised of eight originals and two covers. They also released a double disc in 2001 "Live at Roseland". Also they continue to sell every show on cd, that can be picked up before leaving the show!
Bob Weir started RatDog on 4/22/1995 with Rob Wasserman months before Jerry's death. But after Jerry's death Weir intensely toured with Ratdog. Bob Weir and Ratdog played 850 shows since then. Although many guests have played with them, the band currently consists of Bob Weir, Jay Lane, Jeff Chimenti, Mark Karan, Kenny Brooks, and Robin Sylvester. Ratdog plays a fusion of blues, jazz, rock, and of course Grateful Dead mix.
